Safety

Dialed is for ages 13 and up. There's no messaging, no public feed and no way to find strangers. Friends are added by exact username, and anyone can be reported or blocked.

The rules

Friends, challenges and crews let other people see your username, first name, challenge titles and crew names. Don't use them to bully, harass or threaten anyone, share anything sexual, hateful or violent, pretend to be someone else, spam, or break the law. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abuse. We can remove content, remove someone from a crew or challenge, or ban an account. The full rules are in the Terms of Use.

Report and block

  • Report or block anyone from your friends list, a challenge or a crew. Blocking works straight away and removes you from each other's friends, challenges and crews.
  • Crew names, unlock reasons can be reported too.
  • We aim to look at every report within 24 hours.
  • Prefer email? Write to hello@dialedin.online with the username.

What friends can see

  • Friends see your username, your streak, whether you did something today and your focus minutes this week. You can turn this off.
  • Your buddy sees a ✓ when you finish and "missed" when you don't. Never what you did, and never which apps you block.
  • Reactions are four fixed ones. Nobody can type a message to you.
  • Crews see the crew's total minutes. Per-person minutes only show if every member turns that on.

Real help

A hard block always shows I need real help: everything opens for 10 minutes, twice a day, no questions asked. Blocking and alarms can fail or be late, so never rely on them where that would be dangerous.

Dialed isn't medical or mental health advice. If you're struggling, talk to someone you trust or a professional. If you're in danger, call your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988, any time.

For parents

  • Screen Time. Dialed uses Apple's Screen Time controls on your teen's own phone, which they turn on themselves. It's a self-control tool, not parental monitoring: Dialed never sees which apps they pick or their usage, and nothing is sent to you or to us.
  • No account needed. Everything on the phone works without signing in. An account is only for backup, friends and crews, and it can be deleted in the app.
  • No ads, no tracking. Dialed shows no ads and doesn't track anyone across apps. It counts anonymous events (like "Lock-in finished"), never what anyone wrote, and that can be turned off.
  • Dia runs on the phone. The assistant works on the iPhone itself; what your teen types isn't sent to a server.
  • Purchases. Pro and Max are App Store subscriptions. With Family Sharing, Ask to Buy works as usual, and the paywall shows "Waiting for approval".
  • Questions? Email hello@dialedin.online. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
